Why is ALUMETRON superior to other coatings for aluminum?

Can ALUMETRON be used on the bottom, under the water?

Yes, ALUMETRON is recommended for use below the waterline. Other coatings are not. Because of the chemical bond, water does not penetrate and delaminate the coating. When overcoated with VS721, it also offers greater scuff resistance, fouling release to prevent marine growth and it makes the pontoons much easier to clean. VS721 also reduces the drag on the pontoons so you get better performance and reduced fuel economy, saving you money.
